Coron is now the focus of interest of the tourism industry. Major infrastructure development is being pursued by the government such as lengthening of the airport to accommodate Airbus aircraft, paving of the 20 kilometer road from airport to Coron town and reclamation of the port area. A new airport terminal has just opened.

Tourist airport arrivals have increased 5 times from 2006 to 2008. Recently, Banyan Tree announced the development of Diwaran Island to establish a resort with 600 rooms. There are also many other foreign and local investors that have shown interest in the area. Major tourism developments are foreseen in the very near future.

Manlalara is located in Barangay Bulalacao. It is 24 kilometers from the town of Coron. It is a peninsula with an area of 12 hectares. The property covers an entire cove and has 700 meters of white sand, the longest beach in the area. The property is facing north with a panoramic view of Coron Island. It has 3 separate peaks with a commanding view of the surrounding area.

Manlalara will be developed as a world class tourist destination. A master plan is being prepared to establish a resort with first class hotel and villa accommodations, restaurants, spa, yacht club and sports facilities. An electric plant will be constructed in the area that will serve the islands. This development will greatly improve the quality of accommodations and enhance profitability of resort establishments.
